Do dogs really benefit from massage?
Absolutely! In fact, pretty much every way a human benefits from massage, your pet will also.
What about my cat?
Of course! Even though cats are better at giving themselves a massage through their grooming routine, there are countless benefits to receiving some human assistance.
Do I need a vet referral?
Only if you are making a claim with pet insurance. Otherwise, you are free to make an appointment with me. If your dog has a medical concern, it may be beneficial for me to be in contact with your vet to come up with the best treatment plan possible.
Will I see a difference in my dog right away?
It depends. There are so many factors to consider. Some conditions will be affected right away and some conditions will need regular treatments to see results. I'm happy to discuss this before each appointment when I have assessed your pup.
I don't know what's wrong with my dog. Can you diagnose her?
Unfortunately, no. I am not a veterinarian and cannot diagnose, prescribe, or treat your dog beyond massage practices. If you have any questions about this, please feel free to call or email me.
Where do you perform the massage?
I come to you! I find that most dogs are able to relax the best when they are comfortable in their own home. Arrangements can also possibly be made for me to work on your pup in a vet office, rehab center, or another location of your choosing.
What do I need to provide?
If your dog has a favorite bed, that would be great. Otherwise, I will provide everything they need.
Do I need to be present?
No. Sometimes your furry friend will get upset if you disappear. Other times they will do better if they can't see you. We can determine what works best for you and your dog at the time of the appointment.
How long does a massage last?
It varies depending on your pet's needs, their size, and their ability to sit calmly. Typically, a session lasts between 30 minutes to an hour.
How much do you charge?
I charge a flat rate of $55 per massage plus a small travel fee based on your location that will be discussed at the time of your booking.
What area do you service?
I work in the greater Los Angeles area. I don't have specific geographical limits because getting your pet the help they need is more important to me than driving time.
I am happy to discuss any questions you may have by phone or email.
